State President: Maame Afua Ayensu – Aboagye
Hello everyone! My name is Maame Afua Ayensu-Aboagye, and I feel so incredibly blessed to serve as your State President. I am a senior at Bellevue East High School, and this year marks my 4th year as a HOSA member. I’m forever grateful for the experiences, it has brought me. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, being active in my church’s kids’ and teen ministry, reading, baking, and playing and listening to music. I love children, and after high school, I plan to pursue a career in pediatric neurosurgery. I am excited to serve Nebraska HOSA and cannot wait to see the amazing things that will happen this year!

Hello! My name is Caleb Yeh, and I am a Senior at Millard North High School. I am involved in our school’s Red Cross and Science Bowl chapters, where I help lead practices and blood drives throughout the year. Outside of school, I enjoy playing basketball and tennis with my friends and family. I have a strong passion for HOSA and the future of healthcare and am so excited to serve as Vice President of Nebraska HOSA! I wish to help make our state chapter the best it can be!

Hi everyone! My name is Devony Thoene, and I am a senior at Scottsbluff High School where I have been a member of my local HOSA chapter since freshman year. I am looking forward to becoming an OBGYN where I hope to be able to make a difference. A few of my passions are spending time with my family and friends, music, and traveling. My involvement in HOSA sprouted from a small desire to help others and has grown into who I am today. I am excited to see where this next year as a state officer will take me.

Hello Everyone! My name is Amalia Thronton but my nickname is Mali. I am a senior at Millard West High School. I plan on becoming an Emergency Medicine doctor in Spain! I am currently a deck supervisor at the YMCA’s of Greater Omaha. This year, I am excited to help grow the HOSA community while inspiring others to chase after their dreams. Hello! My name is Ashritha Chiguluri, your Vice President of Membership! I am a senior at Millard North High School, where I have served as a HOSA chapter officer. Outside of HOSA, I am an enthusiastic volunteer, competitive speaker, and a peer tutor! In the future, I hope to become a radiation oncologist and continue to advocate for healthcare equality. My passions include soccer, orchestra, and working with kids. In the future, I am interested in pursuing a career in pediatric cancer research as a nuclear pharmacist. State Vice President of Partnerships – Emma Yin
Hi everyone! My name is Emma Yin and I am so excited to serve as the Nebraska HOSA’s Vice President of Partnerships! I am looking forward to expanding the range of opportunities for HOSA members and continuing to spread the word of HOSA to all students interested in the health occupations field. I am a senior at Lincoln East High School where I am the National Honor Society Secretary and am an executive officer in my school’s HOSA chapter! I am also on the Speech and Debate Team, am Feminist Club officer, and have played the piano for 9 years. I currently work as a Nutrition Technician at Bryan Health Hospital, volunteer at various medical centers, and am a CNA. Being a part of the HOSA community has been so incredibly meaningful for me and I hope to ensure this experience for all future members!
