Nebraska HOSA Service Projects 2025-2026
Blood Drives
Since 2023, Nebraska HOSA State Officer Teams have promoted blood donation and the hosting of blood drives through the American Red Cross and the Nebraska Community Blood Bank on the local chapter level. Each year, the chapter with the most individual donors at blood drives hosted by that chapter are recognized with The Hemoglobin Hero Award, a Nebraska-only award. Chapters and Individuals can also be recognized through the “America’s Blood Centers & HOSA Blood Drive” or “American Red Cross Volunteer Service” Recognition Events.
At the 2025 State Leadership Conference, the State Officer Team will partner with Nebraska Community Blood Bank to host a blood drive on Monday, March 9 at Creighton University.
Live On Nebraska
Live On Nebraska is one of 55 organ procurement organizations across the country. They are an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to saving and healing lives through organ, tissue, and eye donation, as well as educating the public about donation.
The 2025-2026 State Officer Team is partnering with Live On Nebraska to promote donor registration education and encourage conversations about donor registration. Following education and conversations with loved ones, individuals may decide to join the donor registry. Every registered donor has the potential to make a positive impact on 100 lives.

NMDP
Since June 2020, thousands of HOSA chapters across the country have added new potential donors to the NMDP Registry and pre-registry and raised critical dollars to ensure patients can focus on healing instead of medical bills.
